TransGender Michigan announces first anniversary of its "LeT's ChaT AbouT..." discussion series

ANN ARBOR - In January 2002, TransGender Michigan developed "LeT's ChaT AbouT...," a traveling, topic-specific discussion forum, to discuss topics pertinent to Michigan's transgender communities.

On the forum's first anniversary, TransGender Michigan will again feature "The University of Michigan's Comprehensive Gender Services Program: Gatekeepers or Allies?" This program will be held on Jan. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Washtenaw Rainbow Action Project at 325 Braun Court in Ann Arbor.

"We chose to further explore this topic because it was so popular last year and there seems to be more left to say about it," said Carrie Tune-Copeland, Secretary of TransGender Michigan.

Future topics for "LeT's ChaT AbouT..." include prejudice in the transgender communities, the choice to be "stealth," and many others, depending on the interest of participants.
